The subscription form collects one item: your email address. Buttondown also records the confirmation timestamp and IP address as proof of consent. No other data is collected by this form.
We use this information only to send the Program Change Monitor. Processing is based on your consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw that consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every issue.
Buttondown, Inc. processes subscriptions in the United States under a data-processing agreement that incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Buttondown’s data-processing agreement and subprocessor list.
We retain a subscribed address until you unsubscribe. Addresses that never complete double opt-in are not emailed.
You may request access, correction, deletion, or portability by replying to any issue or writing to the address in the Contact section below.
Hosting, forms, and technical data
Netlify hosts the website. The newsletter form sends the email address directly to Buttondown only when you press Subscribe; no request to Buttondown occurs merely because a page loads.
No third-party analytics provider is enabled in this build. The site uses an internal, non-transmitting event queue with bounded categories for QA. The visual theme preference may be stored on the visitor’s device; it is not an intake or user-data collection path.
Some provider links are affiliate links; they are disclosed on the relevant page and have no influence on editorial assessment.
